Congratulations on being accepted to Georgia Tech!
Every Fall semester, the Alpha Gamma Chapter of Delta Sigma Phi looks to reward the best and brightest incoming freshman with a scholarship. Like the brothers of Delta Sigma Phi, recipients of this scholarship are men of Courage, Action, and Excellence. All incoming freshman male undergraduates are eligible to apply.
Many of our brothers had never considered Greek life before we found ourselves at Delta Sig, and we understand the pressures of coming into new school. This scholarship does not require its recipients to rush our fraternity, but we do encourage you to come out to meet us anyway. This Fall pledge class will be the first in our brand new house, and we want you to be a part of it. For more details on rush click here.
Read about our core values below, and apply by August 11th to be considered. Expect to hear back on August 15th as to whether you will be receiving this year's scholarship. Feel free to reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions or concerns you may have.
A Man of Courage is not afraid to challenge established norms. He favors integrity over conformity, and strives to do what is right even at the expense of his popularity with his peers.
A Man of Action is always ready to step up when the time is right. He does not wait for his peers to act when he sees injustice, and is dedicated to generosity, self-control, and promoting unity among his brothers and, more importantly, the world around him.
A Man of Excellence is dedicated to self-improvement, and the endless pursuit of wisdom. He understands the importance of his academics, but also strives to be well-rounded. He is a man of integrity, compassion, and ambition.
When is the application due?
The application is due on August 11th by the end of the day
When will I hear back?
You will hear back on August 15th.
What can I use the money for?
This scholarship is not required to be put directly toward tuition or textbooks. Recipients of the scholarship can spend it however they choose.
Do I have to join the fraternity to get the scholarship?
Will my academics be considered in this scholarship?
Yes, we will ask you a bit about your academics, but they are just a small part of what we take into consideration. You just got accepted to Georgia Tech, we know what that means, because we were in your shoes not too long ago.
Will there be an essay?
No essays, just a few short answer. On August 15th, anyone we feel is fit for the scholarship will be contacted for a meet up, either on the phone or in person. We hate essays as much as you do.
